Geograph talk at HertsLUG next Wednesday

I’m giving a talk about Geograph British Isles to Hertfordshire Linux User Group in Stevenage on Wednesday 11th Oct, 7:30pm. Venue is licenced, so pop along for a pint and a geeky chinwag if you are in the area…

Venue is here, but note the venue is on the south side of Shephall Green, not the north side as indicated by Google Maps!

Tagging tagging tagging (or else…!)

Geograph grows restless for the much promised tagging feature, I’ve promised to complete it by end of October. An avid contributor “USElaine” is chomping at the bit for tagging, so I’ve promised to send her 100 Moo minicards of Geograph images if I don’t manage to do it!

The first fruits of my OpenStreetMap labours…

I’ve only had time to do a little bit, but it’ll be nice to see it gradually build up. Here’s the first bit of Baldock, Hertfordshire that I’ve mapped!

A bit of Baldock

I plan to spend an hour or so each weekend gathering tracklogs and building it up cell by cell. Probably take me until Christmas!
