I liked the idea of the papercraft ‘Raspberry Punnet’ cardboard casing, and it struck me it might be fun to make a BBC Model B style case.
Yes, it’s a colossal waste of time. But once the itch was there I had to scratch it. If anyone else wants to make one, print this PDF
I’m sure the design can be improved, I knocked it up with OpenOffice, so if you want to have a crack at making it better, download raspberry_pi_bbc_case.odg.

That’s awesome! I think we’re going to see more and more really cool (yet simple and cheap to make) case designs for RPi once more people get their orders in. I just placed my order last week (orders are open through http://www.tinyputers.com) so I’ll probably get mine in Mid-August.
Brilliant! May be worth asking the owner of this photo of the Beeb’s back ports if you can use it on your design.
Love it. I grew up with the BBC Micro/Master. 🙂 Might try doing an Archimedes A3000 one if I ever get RISCOS running on it 🙂
What you need is one of these http://www.american-buddha.com/ahitchnew245c.jpg Now that`s processing power 🙂
I absolutely LOVE your design.
I was going to follow the herd and make a case out of Lego (which I was looking forward to) but I really like yours.
Which case shall I have?
I have a printer, I have Lego, I’m out of colour ink in my printer so for the time being it’ll have to be Lego.
I love your case though. Thanks for posting it.
